- His daughter Jane Young b.1831 married in 1852 to Elijah Ashman b.1825. They had five children.
- Their son Richard Young Ashman b.1861 married in 1892 to Sarah Ada Bennett b.1872. They had five children.
- Their son William b.1898 married Dorothy May Brown b.1903. They had six children.
- Their daughter Sheila married John English and they have three children.
- Their son Colin is married to Louise (see Duerden).
