Wilkinson
Our Wilkinson ancestors lived in Blacko, which is a little hamlet of 19th century weaver's
cottages north of Barrowford.
- Thomas Wilkinson, who was born in 1800 in Brogden, West Riding of Yorkshire.
Brogden is not on modern maps, but it is directly north of Barrowford, directly west of
Barnoldswick (to the east of the A682). Although this was in Yorkshire at the time of his birth,
it is now in Lancashire. Thomas married Isabella. They had four children, including:
- James, b.1824, who married Ann Brown. They had five children, including:
- Nancy, b.1856. She married Joseph Holt. They had seven children, including:
- Olive, b.1889. She married Herbert Duerden in 1916. They had two children, Gordon and Keith.
- Keith is married to Gillian Pickett. They have two children, including:
- Louise, who is married to Colin English.
