In 1837 at the time of his daughter Sarah's birth, Benjamin was a Power Loom Weaver. He was able to sign his name. However, by the time this daughter got married, on 26 May 1860, Benjamin had become a Draper (Master). We also noticed that Benjamin's son-in-law from this marriage, Hartley Stansfield, had become a draper by 1870, so we wondered if Hartley worked for his father-in-law.
