Cornaby
Our Cornaby ancestors came from Bungay in Suffolk:
- Harry William Cornaby (known in later life as Henry) b.1820
who married Celia Lincoln. We know they had at least five children, including:
- Harry William Cornaby (known as William Cornaby), b.1846. He
married Elizabeth White, and they had three children, including:
- Celia, b.1877. She married William Charles Brown in 1902, and they
had five children, including:
- Dorothy May Brown, b.1903. She married William Ashman and they had
six children.
- Their daughter, Sheila, married John English.
- Their son, Colin is married to Louise Duerden.
Two of Henry and Celia Cornaby's granddaughters emigrated to Canada. Their story is
told on a separate page.
The oldest Cornaby we know about, Henry (or Harry William), was a cordwainer. See the
Tradesmen section on a cordwainer
